it has been my good fortune to have heard this song (both live a otherwise). It is ALWAYS new…always chill provoking. So grateful for PBS & Sondheim
Not much better than this. Even better than 25 yrs ago.
the most gorgeous thing I’ve heard in a long time. I wept. Mandy is as powerful as ever.
Thank everyone involved for this. The very best musical to this date, and one of the very best songs from it. And yes, they are even better than they were when they first did it. I love you, Mandy, Bernadette, and Stephen — and this was a much needed slice of pure beauty in an ugly time. Thank you each: orchestra, tech, broadcasters, everyone – thank you, and again, endless gratitude.
Breathtakingly powerful. The superb artistry of Ms Peters and Mr Patinkin interpreting the genius of Mr Sondheim’s music and lyrics still resonates brilliantly and more knowingly than it did originally. It truly does not get better than this. Thank you for providing this glimpse of musical theatre at its very highest artistic peak and accomplishment.
