Stage and screen legend Julie Andrews returns for the third time to host the merry annual New Year’s celebration with the Vienna Philharmonic, under the direction of Mariss Jansons from Vienna’s Musikverein. This is Jansons’ second time at the podium of this much cherished event. The famed Vienna Boys’ Choir will add their celestial voices to the gala. Watch a half hour of music selections from this year’s New Year’s concert.

It seems that the PBS guards its programs diligently–not a good publicity!
Why don’t you use a format that the iPad supports?
Very disappointed. You are leaving 1000’s of viewers disenfranchised.
Hi Philip,
Our internet video does indeed work on iOS platforms if you download and install the free PBS “app” for your iPad or any other iOS device. Once installed, you should have access to all of the PBS programming currently available on pbs.org.
Here’s the link for the iPad app: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pbs-for-ipad/id398349296?mt=8
Here’s the link for iPod Touch/iPhone: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pbs/id410053365?mt=8
Let us know how the watching goes! Thanks for your question.

So I had the Live from Vienna Performance scheduled to record but due to conflicts I guess I totally missed it. Now I am trying to at least watch part of the video and not available. Very Unhappy, and no word about whether a DVD will be available. And like someone else said it would be great if Julie Andrews was included on the DVD…. I guess I will try getting the PBS “app” on my IPad but you probably still will not have the Live from Vienna Performance available…
I used to watch this program every year and this year decided not to do it anymore after reading the New York magazine article on their Nazi past.
