Great Performances - My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs
Great Performances Home Introduction Meet the Artists A Look at the Work Behind the Scenes Resources
Following the success of last season's "My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies," Julie Andrews returns to host another all-star gala of showstoppers -- this time with the leading ladies and leading men of Broadway. Joining forces at New York's City Center is a thrilling gathering of Broadway legends with a new generation of stars, including Michael Crawford, Linda Eder, Peter Gallagher, Robert Goulet, Heather Headley, Nathan Lane, Rebecca Luker, Barry Manilow, Marin Mazzie, Bebe Neuwirth, Adam Pascal, Chita Rivera, Brent Spiner, and Tom Wopat. Like "Leading Ladies," "The Love Songs" will deliver another dynamite evening with even more of the razzle-dazzle excitement that THE BOSTON HERALD acclaimed as "guaranteed to lift you out of your chair."

Writer Samantha Gleisten explains the special connection between the songs and the singers who perform them in Meet the Artists, which also offers video clip excerpts of interviews with several of the show's stars. Memorable moments from the program are featured in A Look at the Work. "The Love Songs" producer and director reveal how the show was put together in Behind the Scenes.
