Tenors Victor Trent Cook, Rodrick Dixon, and Thomas Young delighted GREAT PERFORMANCES audiences with their first appearance on the series in August 2001. While each has enjoyed a distinguished career of his own -- Cook received a Tony Award® nomination for "Smokey Joe's Cafe," Dixon has performed several roles with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and in Broadway's "Ragtime," and Young has appeared as a soloist in major concert halls around the world, while also creating operatic roles for contemporary composers like John Adams and Anthony Davis -- together they are one of the most versatile and virtuosic groups performing today. Now, Cook, Dixon & Young return to GP in a concert showcasing their dynamic vocal talent across a wide spectrum of musical genres. From the arias of Verdi and Puccini through rousing gospel and traditional spirituals to jazz scatting and belting out Broadway, Cook, Dixon & Young demonstrate their extraordinary tenor talents in another show-stopping performance.

Read a short biography of each singer, watch a performance excerpt, and browse a photo gallery in the Multimedia Presentation. Find out what makes the group unique and about some of their touring rituals in the essay by writer Jaan Uhelszki.
