The show was slated to feature little dancing from the outset, but Fosse worked up a catchy South American number called "Mu-Cha-Cha," which, like "Who's Got the Pain?" from "Damn Yankees," show Fosse's love of the popular dances of the era. Written for actress Judy Holliday by the award-winning lyricist Betty Comden, "Bells Are Ringing" enjoyed a long Broadway run and four Tony Award nominations before being adapted for the silver screen in 1960.
