That's DANCIN': Fosse on Broadway
Little Me
page: 1 2 3 4

"The Rich Kids Rag" was among the many memorable dance numbers and earned Fosse a Tony Award for choreography, showcasing his trademark moves, including the hands-forward, finger-splayed gesture, and the knock-kneed, pigeon-toed stance. Fosse's comically sexy choreography gelled with Neil Simon's unique sense of humor, but both men would find themselves at odds with their leading man, Sid Caesar. Perhaps feeling overworked with his multiple roles, Caesar refused to sing more than three songs, botched his punchlines, and improvised some of his dialogue on the fly -- with excruciatingly unfunny results.
