DANCES
"I have always liked jewels," the choreographer relates in BALANCHINE'S COMPLETE STORIES OF THE GREAT BALLETS. "After all, I am an Oriental, from Georgia in the Caucasus. I like the color of gems, the beauty of stones." The Paris Opera Ballet's performance of "Jewels" was recorded live at the Palais Garnier in Paris, France in November 2005.
