The Romeo & Juliet Companion
Juliet bids goodbye to Romeo Juliet's Balcony. Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I would say good-bye ... until tomorrow.

This is one of the most famous scenes in all of drama, set at night in the Capulets' garden, under Juliet's balcony. Romeo steals onto the grounds of the Capulets' castle hoping to see Juliet and overhears her speaking of her love for him, even though he is her family's sworn enemy. Romeo reveals his presence underneath her balcony, and they fervently pledge their love for each other, making plans to wed, before he must depart.
