RESPECT YOURSELF: THE STAX RECORDS STORY: "Respect"

Among the classics Otis Redding wrote and recorded during his four years at Stax, before his untimely death in a plane crash in 1967, "Respect" was included on his 1965 album OTIS BLUE: OTIS REDDING SINGS SOUL. The song became synonymous with Aretha Franklin after she covered it two years later.
