Lou Gehrig
Loe Gehrig was the Most Valuable Player on the 1927 Yankees which has been widely hailed as the greatest team in baseball history.He was diagnosed with a rare and incurable neuromuscular disease and before a capacity crwod at Yankee stadium he spoke some of the most famous words in sports history when he said: "Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about a bad break I got. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth."
