It is dishonest, and disgraceful, to slander US Agencies that have succeeded, almost with their hands tied behiond their backs, to avoid any additional attacks on US soil after 9/11 and until today, in such a way.");document.write(' |

Your treatment of the subject of torture was childish. Simply put, who cares what ACTORS on a TV show appear to experience? All of you sit there in your pressed suits, and you debate issues you have never experienced outside of television. Besides the obvious immorality of torture (that's right, OBVIOUS immorality), there is a hidden cost to torture that you never consider. Concerned only with your own safety, you ignore the horrors of torture, and the effects of torture on the torturers. Can you imagine what these people must be like after brutalizing handcuffed prisoners? Finally, you ignore John McCain's main point. Our use of torture is FUELING THE INSURGENCY. We are martyring their heroes, so they want our blood! Think about what would happen in this country if a few televangelists were captured and tortured by Islamic Jihadists? I imagine the army would have an easier time filling it's recruiting quotas. We are America, we don't torture. At least we didn't, that's our moral highground from the Cold War. At least we didn't have gulags... now we do.");document.write(' |
