It implies that he is either incredibly stupid or considers the viewers to be incredibly stupid. Cover-ups occur only when there is something that needs to be covered-up. That no indictments were made for crimes other than obstruction and perjury, is not the equivalent of no other crimes having been committed, as you seemed to imply. More important, they seem really hopeless with Bush's new and excellent Supreme Court Nominee, Alito, who will be confirmed no matter how much they Slander and Obstruct. They also show their hypocrisy and partisanship, by having Supported Alito back in 1990, even the most extremist among them (Sen. Ted Kennedy) was Full of praise for Alito when his nomination went in front of Congress in 1990. The Journal editors focused on the fact that Fitzgerald did not bring an indictment for an underlying crime. That does NOT mean that there hasn't been illegality, however, and I'm sure that these gentlemen know that. Please at least try to treat viewers as having some degree of intelligence.
