Critter Guide :: Reptiles & Amphibians :: Frogs and Toads Where do they live? Both frogs and toads can be found all over the world except for Antarctica. Most frogs are found in the tropics. What do they eat? Most frogs are carnivores and eat insects, but some eat fruit. Critter Fact Frogs drink through their skin. Because their skin is so important and it can dry out quickly, many frogs shed their skin often. They will wriggle out of it, and sometimes even eat it! Did You Know? The word amphibian means "both lives." Frogs and toads have lives in the water as tadpoles and on land when they are adults.
