Welcome to NATURE on the Web. Each week, we present a Web piece based on the program scheduled to be aired nationally on PBS. On April 21, 1999, return to this space for EARTH TREK, and join thousands of migrating animals as they traverse the globe by land, air, and sea.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is holding the third "International Photographic Competition on the Environment." Entitled "Focus on Your World," the competition seeks photos that depict the planet and the environment as we approach the 21st century. The deadline for entry is April 30, 2000.
