A half a century ago (how time flies!) as a teenager I had the pleasure of working for a polo stable in Aiken, S.C. after school and on the weekends. Mostly menial work, hot walking horses between chukkas, cleaning tack, mucking (cleaning) stalls, and occasionally having the pleasure of exercising some of the ponies. I fell in love with the sport of polo. Loving horses had quite a bit to do with it, but also the speed of the game, the riders' skill, the mixing it up on horseback that goes on during the game, and so on. It is a sport unlike any other in the world.
My experience doing that kind of work taught a lot about horses, also. They are intelligent, sensitive, emotional, and one has to treat them accordingly.

This man seemed exceptionally caring toward his horses. My only question is where he stands on the horse slaughter position. Hopefully, against horse slaughter. The pair were awesome though.
