I was struck by the narration accompanying the arrival of the flamingo chicks during the march to water. The narrator said, “Some years no hatchlings survive the trip at all.”
This particular year (2003) it was noted that the flamingos successfully fledged three broods.
It seems that climate change was good for these birds.

loved this nature broadcast. rather than using gimicky editing techniques to cater to viewers of less than avg intellegence, it was smart, quiet, thoughtful and moving. wonderfully appropiate music for setting the mood as well. truely well done.
