Could Karzai reconcile with the Taliban?

One of the thornier issues expected to come up during Hamid Karzai’s visit to Washington this week is the Afghan president’s plans for reconciliation with the Taliban. Need to Know’s Lauren Feeney spoke with Michael Semple, an Afghan specialist with Harvard’s Kennedy School who has himself participated in talks with the Taliban, about the chances of negotiations and what reconciliation with the Taliban would really mean.
