Afghanis voted Saturday in their second parliamentary elections, where some 2,500 candidates ran for 249 seats. The process was marred by widespread accounts of fraud, violence and kidnappings. Democracy International, which observed the elections on behalf of USAID and at the request of the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan, offers this glimpse of the voting process in Kabul.
