How feasible is it to “climate-proof” lower Manhattan?

Premiered: March 20, 2019 | 0:05:13

Climate study show that by 2050, 37% of lower Manhattan will be at risk of storm surge. By 2100, it’ll increase to 50% of the area. MetroFocus asks what engineers, environmentalists and economists are thinking about this ambitious plan.

There’s more to learn about NYC’s resiliency plan against rising seas in our episode of Sinking Cities: New York.
