Is scaring people the best way to talk about climate change?

Until recently, the tactic around climate change had been “don’t scare people.”

Now, climate scientists and climate journalists have been sounding the alarm — showing worst-case scenarios and starting the countdown clock for climate. Is this a good thing? Hot Mess PBS talked to author David Wallace-Wells, author of “The Uninhabitable Earth” about the new tone of climate conversations.
