Michele Bachmann: “Only God Could Give Life”

Minnesota Republican Representative Michele Bachmann is considering a run for the presidency in 2012. A Tea Party favorite, she is outspoken about her conservative views on both social and economic issues. Bachmann has a law degree from Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. She is a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Minnesota, which is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Watch excerpts from Bachmann’s June 3, 2011 speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition in Washington, where she talks about her family, describes her support for Israel, and offers a prayer for the nation.

Conservatism is mean spirited and anti-american. It clearly is not christian in any sense of the religon taught by jesus. He was opposed to power and greed. They are not, He was for the poor and the down and out people. They are only for the very rich. The run every election on abortion and stopping it. Well how many have they stopped in all these years? ZERO! America was built upon people supporting each other. They rail on Individism. They call the poor lazy. The never compromise to help people and take away programs that help the poor. They are the party of greed!

Have to agree with you there. As much as they try to equate their views with religious belief, Jesus obviously would not agree with their politics. He may have said, “Render to Caesar that which is Caesar’s,” but conservatives in this day and age want to render everything to Caesar, and screw the rest. Since government has been taking care of the poor when in fact, the Bible tells us (believers) to take care of them, it is their chance now to take even that away. They feel no responsibility for anything except making sure their coffers are full, their bank accounts don’t take any hits, and the poor and downtrodden keep growing in numbers. Where is the rebellion?
