Archbishop Demetrios: Prayers and Discussions

After his June 10, 2008 meeting with John McCain, Archbishop Demetrios, leader of the Greek Orthodox Church in America, told Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly about their discussions. He emphasized that the US Greek Orthodox Church is nonpartisan, but said he wants to both pray for government leaders and let them know about the concerns of his church and its members.

Well, nice editing. No one can realize that he didn't reply to the question, why
he didn't sign a letter to President Bush on religious freedod in Turkey, signed by
76 senators.

I love how Senator McCain came to visit Archbishop Demetrios. It shows that he is concerned not with himself, but with the country, and the welfare of the people. I think Archbishop Demetrios and Senator McCain have the same views and come election day, the Archbishop will be voting Repiblican. Its a good sign.
