My husband and I watched the program Saturday night and felt stronger than ever that John McCain MUST be our country's next leader. For all the right reasons.
One question: where was Mrs. Obama?
Cindy Mc Cain was quite visible and there to offer support for her man.
We would like to see more of the program's format. Rick Warren and staff did a fantastic job ............
definitely God inspired.
Thanks........Kay Eickhoff

I am one of those who just can't get beyond feeling that Pastor Warren showed favortism toward Mr. McCain. A part of my concern was how is it that McCain was not present at the start of the forum???? For me this was a matter that was very simple and very important. More specifically, I would think that Warren and staff would realize the sensitivity of this historic campaign and would attend to every possible matter that could create (more) negative perceptions from either side! I'm no rocket scientist, but how difficult would it have been for both candidates to be present at the opening of the forum and then ask one of the gentlemen to wait in the so called "cone of silence"? I could say more, but Warren's response to accusations of favortism was that his integrity was being questioned. Oh yeah, that's right, he is "PASTOR" Rick Warren and pastors are beyond struggling with inappropriate biases, showing favortism, and other things that make us "human". Christ have mercy upon us.

I don't see how family values voters like myself can consider a candidate who cheated on his first wife with multiple women, then left her to marry a beer model flush with cash, and launch his political career. He filed marriage license papers for his new marriage before he even ended his first. Disgusting. How can we trust someone like this?
Add to this that he was one of the Keating Five, his wife misused charity and employee info to steal drugs, he keeps making attack ads that are demonstrable lies, however much I like their political effects. What does he stand for? I have trouble respecting a man like him, and am considering sitting this one out.
Odd Note: I may dislike Obama's policies, but at least he seemed to talk about a personal relationship with Christ.
Here is what I want you to read about McCain. Read the entire article but make sure you read what I posted below. Especially if you are a "Born Again Baptized Christian".
It really came as a shock to me that The pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in California leaned toward McCain in the debate that McCain and Obama had at his church which he moderated. Evidently pastor Warren is a Republican but doesn't know what McCain believes or doesn't believe.
McCain says he is not "born again" and has not been baptized. He says he is "just a Christian," who for many years has been attending the North Phoenix Baptist Church in Arizona with his family. He was raised in the Episcopal Church and attended Episcopal High School, an elite boarding school in Alexandria, Va., where he was required to attend chapel every morning and church on Sunday. At the US Naval Academy, church attendance was also required.
