The "least of these" - that Jesus always ministered to and said that even a cup of water given to them is like giving it to him - seem to be forgotten by so many people who go by the name of 'Evangelical'. Yet much money is used for the comfort and fun and health (gyms) of Evangelical churches.
Obama sees and speaks about the "least of these." Consider Obama's work on south side Chicago for three years after graduation from college to help with job retraining, housing and food for the steel workers' families when the steel plant closed.
Catholic Charities and some other churches salaried Obama $12,000 for his work. Obama put going to Harvard Law School on hold for three years to do this work - surely the work of our loving Lord. In doing this work, Obama heard the Lord's call to him and this seeker became a Christian believer.
Why don't a lot of Evangelicals hear Obama. Why are so many Evangelicals 'one issue voters' who ignore the "least of these."
I'm wondering what our Lord sees in the heart of us, the people called Evangelicals.
