It’s good to see blogs explaining patiently about Jewish customs. Many Jews today still lack the knowledge of the heritage. I understand that the story of the miracle of the oil is a handed down tradition and is not recorded in the history of the Maccabee’s. The significance of this holiday for our family is the reminder to be pure of any pagan customs and idols in our lives.
