"Devil can cite scriptures for his purposes" but not everyone who cites scriptures is a devil. Obama, whether he means to or does not mean to, has struck a chord with the optimists and the moderates. More power to him. He will be foolish to not avail himself to of this opportunity to reconcile some of most contentious and deadly issues facing the world today. Hopefully we are embarking on "unite and conquer" and leaving "divide and conquer behind." Not Obama, but all the good he speaks, is definely AMERICA AS IT SHOULD BE: POWERFULL BUT MODEST!

Obama does not speak from a sincere heart. He uses bits and pieces of religious verse whether Christian or Muslim or Jewish to manipulate emotions. As an agressively pro-abortion president, he offends most Christians and Muslims, and his support of Planned Parenthood is diturbing to both Blacks and Jews who recognize it's founding philosophy of eugenics. When he speaks to the Muslims of the Middle East, after the warm, fuzzy glow of his speech wears off, the intelligent Muslims will expose all his inconsistencies to the less informed Muslims, and most of what Obama has said will backfire. He is a liar and a self-promoter. He does not even represent America--he only begs for forgiveness for the country that made him the success he is today, and puts himself forth as the new Messiah and Savior of Mankind and the bringer of world peace, all on HIS terms. Again, I say, OBAMA DOES NOT REPRESENT AMERICA!

I don't buy Obama's approach.

Muslim world don't need an American president to teach their religion. For every Sura that Obama finds that show Islam is Peace, I can find 10 that it preaches hate and killing. Actually, any muslim that converts to Christianity is the biggest sin and can be killed. So, If Obama converted to Christianity, the muslim world must ask him Why? Why Christianity was better for you? Why didn't you follow your fathers faith? So, Obama cannot have it both ways...

What's wrong with the argument of "either with us or against us".. you are either for terrorism or not, you're are for killing innocent or not . You are for freedom or not.

How can Vali Nasr sits there and say that speech will make a difference? Mullahs' care less about 1952 coup and American connection. Mousadegh was semi-communist and Mullahs are probably happy that Americans help to topple him, because they are now ruling the country!!

I am thrilled with the fact that we now have a President who wants to engage the Muslim world in a respectful dialogue. I have faith that the power of words coming from a sincere heart will be an effective tool for peace.
