A new poll from the Public Religion Research Institute this week shows that majorities in every faith group surveyed support an immigration policy that includes an earned pathway to citizenship. A little more than 60 percent of the population as a whole expressed the same attitude. Nearly 70 percent of those surveyed said the Golden Rule—treating others as they’d like to be treated— is an important value in shaping immigration policy.
