Vatican Offering Indulgences to Social Media Followers

Can following the Pope on Twitter be good for your soul? The Vatican says that following World Youth Day events on social media can lead to a plenary indulgence, which Catholics believe can reduce the time a soul spends in purgatory. But it’s not that easy. The same requirements for participation, devotion and contrition apply, in real life and online.

This simply tells me that the Catholic church is still whoring itself, only now for “LIKES” instead of money.

Very sad to see this type of nonsense in people who claim to believe the Bible. Either Jesus died once for all sins, or His death was worthless and we need to earn our way to heaven…but you can’t mix the two ideas, they’re not compatible.

    SOLUS CHRISTUS

    SOLA FIDE

    SOLA SCRIPTURA

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY (in reference to this article) SOLA GRATIA!

This is simply one of the most ridiculous concepts I’ve ever heard of. No wonder intelligent people are leaving this outdated cult.
