"Foreclosure is a possibility and something we are concerned about," says Rev. Jane Galloway of Long Beach, California. "If we are unable to make our mortgage payment on time, the default process can be filed and a foreclosure proceeding could begin."
"It's in the people around us who are the most vulnerable where we are going to see the face of God," says Nelson Kraybill, president of Elkhart's Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary.
The recent economic debacle should cause us to reread, or perhaps read for the first time, the Christian theological tradition and how it inextricably relates economic exchange to morality (our quest for the good) and to God.
