The story of Massavanna is necessary to our understanding of the pure hell of slavery. This should be taught in every school in the U.S. Thankyou.
I am very proud to have been part of this production. The story needed to be told and should continue to be told. Thomene Boshoff – South Africa
It is very import to keep the memory of the Slaves our Ancestors alive and honored.
This is a great discovery for me…Being a Malagasy I am proud of Massavana and his boldness to stand for freedom

I think they have mispelled the name Massavana, i think, its Masanava ( without double s).
I orginally from Tulear and would like to pay my tribute to Masavana and his fellow friends for that battle. Your story should be known to our fellow citizens especially to the Tulearians people, the warrior .
Stay in peace lost warrior in that island called Rubbens.
Thanks so much for this documentary..this story should be told and never be forgotten!
