What caused the destruction of the Hindenburg. New evidence contradicts old assumptions about the tragedy.

The Mystery
Why did the Hindenburg go up in flames?

The New Theory
The official story has always been that the Hindenburg disaster was caused by the ignition of the flammable hydrogen gas used to lift the zeppelin. But Addison Bain, an advocate for the safe use of hydrogen, disagrees. He notes that hydrogen fires burn blue and gas rises while eyewitness reports of the crash have consistently described the ship as turning into an orange fireball. Now, newly reviewed testimony from eyewitnesses who could see the ship's starboard side suggests that the fire may have started in a different spot than was previously believed. It was raining that day. Could some overlooked electrical conductor have been the real cause of the calamity?
