Did You Solve the Riddle?
Riddle:
Based on your knowledge of Tudor clothing laws, who is this woman?
The answer is:
Catherine Parr, Henry's sixth wife
This painting of Catherine Parr, previously identified as Lady Jane Grey, shows the costume fashionable noblewomen favored during the time of Henry VIII. Garments were brighter, more lavish in Henry's court in contrast to the conservative styles of his father's time.
