Discussion Guide
E-Mail this Page Glossary

The SUPREME COURT Discussion Guide is intended to be used in grades 9-12 social studies classes, as well as in afterschool programs and informal educational settings. It is designed to be used with a DVD of segments from the series (enclosed with the print version of the guide) and/or a tape of the broadcast series. The first four pages of the guide include DVD segment descriptions, discussion questions, and activities. The subsequent pages are intended to be photocopied and distributed to students in class -- an essay called "Why the Supreme Court Matters -- To You!" and discussions about how the court's rulings have had an impact on a typical teenager's morning, afternoon, and evening. Student activities may be adapted to other grade levels.
