Optional Transparency #3: FEDERALISM DEBATE PROMPTS Directions: The teacher will show you one discussion prompt at a time. The class will have two to three minutes to debate the issue based on their assigned roles. Please wait until you have been called on before participating. #1: The common person (such as artisans, shopkeepers, and farmers) should take an active role in government. #2: It is important to challenge the government, even if it leads to revolution. #3: The British aristocracy should be admired and the British form of government should be used as a model. #4: The presidency should be a position that meets the wants and needs of the people. #5: The Supreme Court should have the ability to interpret laws passed by the federal and state governments. |
