Just watched this episode and really enjoyed it. Black-ish is a newly discovered gem for me. Hearing Kenya talk about where he comes from and how the show came to be has really added depth to understanding the comedy in the dilemmas the show’s characters deal with. I missed this interview when it first aired in November, probably because I was still despondent from the election. Their rapport was infectious, Noah’s insight into the American political system scintillating, and the comments about the need for a Truth and Reconciliation Commission post-slavery and post-2016 election resonated deep within me. Well done.
