Jacoba Atlas

Executive Producer, Tavis Smiley

Jacoba Atlas is the award-winning producer of the PBS late-night series hosted by Tavis Smiley.

The Emmy winner’s work includes the documentaries Survivors of the Holocaust, with exec producer Steven Spielberg, A Century of Women and Dying to Tell the Story, which was short-listed for an Oscar and dealt with journalists in war zones. She also wrote and produced Extraordinary Moms for the OWN network and, for the past two years, has been the “broadcast” producer for the TEDxWomen conferences, produced by the Paley Center for Media.

Atlas began her career at NBC News. She oversaw and produced documentaries for the Turner Networks, including CNN and TNT, and was the co-chief programming executive at PBS.
