What You Can Do to End Poverty

According to Economist David Beckmann, the United States has persistent poverty because the political will to end poverty does not exist.

“Many countries around the world have really made dramatic progress against poverty, hunger, disease over the last two, three decades, so we know that it’s possible to make progress against poverty in places as different as Bangladesh or Brazil or Great Britain,” says the Alliance to End Hunger founder. “It’s also possible in the USA, and in my judgment what’s really needed is organized give-a-damn.”
