It’s Not “One Size Fits All”

Michael Triplett, principal of St. Louis’ Innovative Concept Academy (ICA), explains how ICA is working to reverse and mend the consequences of the outdated and inoperative system of quickly putting kids away for minor offenses. These offenses—which can be as simple as frequent truancy—include those for which earlier generations of schoolchildren were simply sent to the principal’s office for reprimand.
