Outreach in a new way

A Texas minister is receiving lots of attention due to his unusual preaching methods. Now there’s something to be said about one taking an innovative approach to reach the masses, but this one may be a stretch.

News reports say that David Ray of the Lucas, TX  Presbyterian Church of the Master, just about 30 miles outside Dallas, has begun setting up drive-in worship services.

Getting the message across

Described as a “Sanctuary Under the Sky,” Ray hopes to gain the attention of those yet to hear about God. The idea behind the drive-in-themed worship was to reach those who are not particularly or traditionally church goers. Those who’ve seen the set-up have mixed reviews, but they definitely have folks talking.

Is this minister simply doing his part to reach others, or is this taking things too far?
