Kwanzaa: The Documentary

Kwanzaa is a celebration of family, community and culture for people of African Heritage. This year, as millions celebrate many festivities across the globe, those enjoying the cultural celebration near the shores of Bermuda are in for a special treat.

This year a showing of the documentary, “The Black Candle” will be shown in Bermuda December 7. The film, directed by MK Asante Jr. is a telling story of the triumph, and legacy of family, community, and culture.

Legendary poet and author Maya Angelou will lend her voice to the project serving as narrator of the documentary. Kwanzaa is a celebration that has been taking place since the late 1960′s and is celebrated by over 20 million people worldwide.

This documentary is sure to educate and inspire others to learn and embrace the powerful principles found within. I hope you check it out!
