Laurel Blaine and Maureen Carroll are co-founders of Bay Breeze Educational
Resources. Bay Breeze develops K-12 technology-based
curriculum that promotes creativity and critical thinking through the use of
the Internet, popular culture, and media.
Dr. Maureen Carroll brings to her work a varied background in education and publishing. Carroll has taught at the elementary, junior high school, and college level, in both special education, and reading and writing. She has also served as a resource room teacher and an education research assistant.
Laurel Blaine graduated summa cum laude from Fitchburg State College with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in History. One of Blaine's primary interests in education is the creation of integrated, thematic learning units that support the growth of creativity and critical thinking skills in students. She has conducted process writing workshops in elementary classrooms in California.
