Ian Johnstone, an associate professor of international law at Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, is a former aide to Secretary-General Kofi Annan and has worked in the UN's Department of Peacekeeping Operations and Office of Legal Affairs. James S. Robbins is a professor of international relations at the National Defense University, an institution of higher learning for security strategy, and also works as a contributing editor for foreign affairs at the conservative weekly NATIONAL REVIEW.
