In the midst of violence surrounding the banning of opposition leader Nawaz Sharif from elected office, tomorrow Pakistan holds elections for senate, the upper house of parliament.

Wide Angle’s coordinating producer, Erin Chapman interviews Daniel Markey, author of the Council on Foreign Relations Special Report on Pakistan’s tribal areas, Securing Pakistan’s Tribal Belt, about the upcoming elections, political maneuvering, and the future of democracy in Pakistan.
