    I notice that throughout the crisis, there still is infrastructure; electricity, stoplights, cigarettes and so forth. Also someone is paying the police, keeping the capital open and so forth. The politicians didn’t have the “political will?” How did they keep their offices? Who had the televisions to watch the Human Resources show? What about a special election?

    Latin America is rejecting the Capitalist Model that is being force on to us, but are not rejecting Democracy.

    sure, technically their frustrations are with this particular type of liberalized reform. But especially in the milleau of deliberate convolution between “free market capitalism” and “democracy”, maybe the reaction is against democracy itself in some quarters. Aside from Argentina, I understand that this is the case in Russia with a resurgent nostalgia for anti-democratic Soviet control.
