The Market:
Street traders Khalila Dudeava and Lena Dadasheva work on Grozny's street market at Minutka Square. Always a hub for cities throughout the Russian Federation, it's only recently that people have begun to return to Grozny's market to sell goods. The Minutka Square market, Grozny's largest, was often the site of bloody exchanges between Russian soldiers and Chechen rebels. For many Grozny residents, working at the market is the only way they can make money. Wares for sale can range from humanitarian aid items such as roofing materials (fault of corruption) to food, clothing, and medicine.
