Dr. Muqtedar Khan is the Chair of the Department of Political Science and Director of International Studies at Adrian College in Michigan. He is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution's Saban Center for Middle East Policy. He is the author of AMERICAN MUSLIMS: BRIDGING FAITH AND FREEDOM (Amana, 2002) and JIHAD FOR JERUSALEM: IDENTITY AND STRATEGY IN INTERNATIONAL POLITICS (forthcoming from Praeger, 2004).
He is a fellow of the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy and the Vice President of the Association of Muslim Social Scientists.
He earned his Ph.D. in international relations, political philosophy, and Islamic political thought from Georgetown University in May 2000.
