Karachi
The province's name derives from the Sanskrit word for the Indus River, "Sindhu," and is home to nearly one quarter of Pakistan's population. Its geographical features include the Kirthar mountain range to the west, the Arabian Sea to the south, and the Thar Desert to the east, and was once the cradle of the Indus Valley civilization, one of the oldest in the world.
