Egyptians are expected to head to the polls later this year to elect a new president. Among the contenders is a female television correspondent turned politician. While Bothaina Kamel isn’t expected to win, Mona Eltahawy says a woman presidential candidate is part of the nation’s ongoing revolution. The protests in Tahrir Square may be over for now, but another, more important battle lies ahead. On this week’s podcast, we speak with Eltahawy, an award-winning columnist and speaker on Arab and Muslim issues, about Egypt’s revolution of the mind.
