First Woman Protester Killed in Yemen

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the head by a government sniper during a protest march in Taiz, Yemen on Sunday. According to opposition activists, she was the first woman to be killed in the ongoing demonstrations that have swept the country. On Monday, thousands of women protested against the regime in the capital, Saana. Activists say at least 861 people have been killed and 25,000 wounded since the protests erupted.
