23rd PBS Season
The 23rd
season of THE WOODWRIGHT'S SHOP continues searching near and
far in its quest to rediscover the tools, pioneers and projects
that built America. Everyone's favorite woodworker keeps it
moving with in-studio motion from a turning triangle table
and treadle-lathe-turned round corner chair. Then Roy journeys
forth to discover a wealth of traditional woodcrafts from
western North Carolina's Cherokee people, handmade tools in
Paint Lick, Kentucky, and frontier life at Conner Prairie
in Indiana. Roy is also joined in his shop by two of woodcrafting's
finest artisans-master woodcarver David Calvo and inlay expert
Steve Latta.
